Position Summary

The Director of Recruitment & Selection will lead the strategic vision and execution of recruitment processes to support organizational goals, focusing on tutor acquisition. This role will develop innovative strategies to attract diverse talent, manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, and ensure a seamless candidate experience. Additionally, the Director will foster collaboration across teams, manage external partnerships, and use data-driven decision-making to continuously improve recruitment outcomes and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Support vision setting and strategy development for the organizational and Programmatic Operations team.
    • Drive recruitment and selection strategies for school and tutor onboarding, management, and offboarding.
    • Set goals and priorities for the Recruitment and Selection team, aligning with company and partner strategies.
    • Create or revise evidence-based recruitment frameworks and rubrics.
    • Manage Objectives Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for recruitment, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
    • Use data analysis to guide decision-making in recruitment and selection.
    • Attract, coach, and retain a performance-focused team, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • External Relationships:
    • Attend meetings with the COO and stakeholders to report progress and collaborate.
    • Manage relationships with district and non-district partners, including universities and community organizations.
  • Tutor Acquisition:
    • Design and implement tutor recruitment frameworks, optimizing processes.
    • Develop strategic plans to attract a diverse tutor pool, including alumni engagement.
    • Oversee interview scheduling and communication with prospects and applicants, ensuring a positive recruitment experience.
    • Track tutor acquisition progress and guide the selection process.

Experience/Education

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR, with a focus on high-volume recruitment or education sector preferred., with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing strategic initiative .with a demonstrated ability to lead teams or cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong project management experience, with a history of successfully overseeing multiple projects.
  • Experience in a similar industry or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Experience working with data-driven recruitment strategies, tracking metrics, and optimizing processes.
